Who I am

This website, andyblithe.co.uk, is run by Andy Blithe, who is the data controller for any personal information collected here. You can contact me about privacy at office@aturn.co.uk.

What I collect

I only collect what you choose to send me through the forms on this site:

• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Budget travel guide signup: your name (optional), email address and your consent to be emailed when the guide launches.

How it is stored

Form submissions are stored in this site’s WordPress database (using the Flamingo plugin) on servers provided by Hostinger, and a copy is emailed to office@aturn.co.uk.

How I use it

Contact form details are used only to reply to your enquiry. Guide signup details are used only to email you about the budget travel guide. I don’t sell, rent or share your details with anyone else, and I don’t use a mailing list service.

Unsubscribing and deletion

You can unsubscribe from guide emails at any time, or ask me to delete your details, by emailing office@aturn.co.uk. I keep your details only for as long as needed for these purposes.

Cookies and third parties

• WordPress: only essential cookies needed for the site to work.
• YouTube: videos don’t load until you click play. When you do, the video loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
• Fonts: the site’s typefaces (Bebas Neue, Inter and Montserrat) are hosted on andyblithe.co.uk itself, so no data is sent to Google Fonts.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email office@aturn.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
